World Mental Health Day 2024

Activating to Make a Difference at the Project Healthy Minds World Mental Health Day Festival and Gala

At Truly Gifted, we’re all about creating meaningful moments that bring people together, so we were thrilled to partner with Project Healthy Minds for their 2024 World Mental Health Day Festival and Gala. Held on October 10th in New York City, the event focused on raising awareness about the mental health crisis and the loneliness epidemic, while inspiring conversations and actions to make a real difference.

At the Festival, we were excited to offer attendees a simple but impactful way to connect with their loved ones. Every festival goer had the opportunity to send a complimentary Token Moment. Whether it was a family member, friend, or colleague, participants could send a heartfelt note through our platform to brighten someone’s day. The response was overwhelming, with so many people sharing how meaningful and touching it was to send a personal message during such a powerful event. The simplicity of the gesture truly aligned with the Festival's mission of connection and support.

“Being part of the Festival allowed us to create beautiful moments of connection, from heartfelt messages sent to loved ones far and near, to encouraging people to think about how they could brighten someone’s day,” said Jennifer Koman, Founder of Truly Gifted. “At the Gala, we were honored to share in the celebration of mental health advocacy and see firsthand the impact we were making. Our role in the event highlighted how a simple, thoughtful gesture can foster a sense of belonging and support."

The World Mental Health Day Festival included a variety of panels, workshops, and activations, featuring incredible people like Demi Lovato, Michael Ratner, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, and many others. With more than 2,500 attendees, the event sparked important conversations and inspired action to improve mental health support. Alongside brands like Lululemon, Maybelline, and Tiffany & Co., Truly Gifted was excited to engage with attendees and support this amazing cause.

At the evening Gala, hosted by Carson Daly and featuring a performance by Chance The Rapper, we were honored to contribute to the event’s emotional impact by offering each attendee their own Token Moment. It was a small but meaningful reminder of the importance of connection, and attendees were encouraged to pass the gesture forward, spreading the mission of care and togetherness.

Truly Gifted’s participation in both the Festival and the Gala was a testament to our belief in the power of words and personal connection. Our platform makes it easy for users to show they care, helping people stay present for loved ones in all of life’s moments—whether it’s cheering up a friend or showing someone you care. Our partnership with Project Healthy Minds reinforces our commitment to combating the mental health crisis and the isolation that so many people face.

A recent survey from Project Healthy Minds shows that two-thirds of Millennials and Gen Zers report feeling emotionally exhausted or burned out, yet 86% agree that mental health is just as important, if not more important, than physical health. At Truly Gifted, we aim to help people engage in that conversation by making it easy to show care for others, no matter the occasion.

We’re incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Project Healthy Minds, using the power of personal connection to make a difference in the fight against the mental health crisis.
